Relationship Wednesday 9-1-21

“We invited our new Italian neighbors and their children over for dinner on Sunday night. They have three kids, ages 8, 9 and 11. My husband and I were stunned when our neighbors poured red wine for their kids. My kids looked on in disbelief. The kids guzzled the wine down and asked for more. They received a second glass as dinner finished. My husband says it’s a cultural thing. I told him we should think about reporting the parents. This is America not Italy and it’s illegal for minors to drink. What do you think we should do?”

“In December I finished college with my Accounting degree. In February I started a job putting my degree to work.
I love my job, most days but there is this one coworker that I have and  she has been employed here for about 2 years.
To my boss, she never messes up, she is always right and when I have an issue with something I am supposed to ask her. She is not a manager, we literally have the same job title so she isn’t above me.  She is very passive aggressive towards everything and everyone. Her energy when she enters the workplace is very depressing. She won’t speak to me, she just stares. Any minor inconvenience at work she turns it into a HUGE deal with our boss and it comes back on everyone else but her. Her attitude sucks and again she is very passive aggressive. Most days I don’t want to come to work because I know I will have to deal with her. She also makes it seem like I do nothing right and makes me feel very stupid some days.

My question is do I speak up and tell her to speak to me like I am another human and not one of her kids or her dog. OR do I take it to HR and have them handle it OR just sit back and not say anything?”
