Unqualified Advice
KISS front man, Gene Simmons, recently wrote a book called Me, Inc. where he dishes out advice on love, life and business. He went on Fox News to talk about the book and said some controversial things about women’s roles and how they should “stop depending on men.” He made it seem like men would leave, so women shouldn’t bother with men till women are successful and happy first. We get where he’s coming from, but why do women have to choose between career and family when men aren’t asked to? Plus, does a man who has made a living off of bragging about how many women he’s slept with really know what’s best for women?
Heather and Poolboy wanted to know if anyone would actually take advice from Gene Simmons, who after all is still successful (well, rich) in life. And if not him, what celebrities would you want advice from? Many chimed in to say definitely NOT Gene Simmons. Some said they’d listen to what Oprah said. A few others mentioned they’d take Billy Graham’s advice. Others said they just need to rely on God. One person did have a great idea-she said she'd let Morgan Freeman give her all the advice he wants, as long as she gets to hear him talk. Watch the interview here. Does he make any sense? What celebrities may be more qualified to give advice?

Razorback Roundup
Heather went to her first game in Fayetteville this weekend. She picked a good one as the Hogs won 45-17. When she wasn’t too busy talking about all the “cute outfits” and watching the “cool graphics on the jumbotron” she got to see a pretty incredible play. The highlight of the day and the play that has been shown by the sports talking heads all weekend, was a trick touchdown pass from 350-pound offensive lineman Sebastian Tretola to long snapper Alan D’Apollonio. It’s great to see two players not normally in the spotlight become the toast of the town. Here is the play. And here is Tretola talking about it after the game. Look how pumped he is!

Video of the Day
If you’ve heard the show any in the last couple of months, you’ve heard us talk about Matthew McConaughey’s Lincoln car commercials. One was parodied by Ellen, and then this weekend, Saturday Night Live got a hold of them. Here’s Jim Carrey doing his best McConaughey impression.

Quote of the Day
