It’s Thriller Thursday y’all!

Last week my husband and I went on a haunter ghost tour here in Little Rock, We were with a great group of paranormal investigators as well as “us” regulars.  The next stop on the tour was Curran Hall here in Little Rock.  We were on the porch; it was very dark out the guide started telling us about the lady of the house it was built for who died in child birth.  My husband interrupted the guide and said was she nineteen when she died????  The guide looked shocked!  My husband being blind is extra sensitive to these kinds of events.  The gust told my husband that she was there looking for her baby that also died that day.  The guide decided to get her equipment out because Rob, my husband, started what Mary Eliza, the sprit, was telling him. The guide of the group handed someone there these still and copper sticks that you hold still and talk to the sprits and they did.  I being the skeptic was not sure what to think of all this and the guide could see that I am pretty sure so she handed me the steel rods.  I held them perfectly still and asked Mary Eliza some questions and said to cross the rods for yes and separate them for no.  I asked her if she was nineteen when she died the rods crossed!  Now I am a little spooked because I KNOW I am holding the rods PERFECTLY still!!!!!  My husband is freaked out quite a bit by this time because she won’t leave him alone.  I asked the sprit if ANYONE there could help her and the rods quickly bent back and pointed to my husband!!!!!  The entire group was ready to go by this point!  I asked the sprit if she wanted us to go and the rods crossed, NO!  I also asked her if she was looking for her baby and she said “YES”.  Mary Eliza told my husband what happened with the baby and we have not told a soul!  Sometimes sprits roam to get justice.

Our story begins when my son was three years old.  We were expecting our second child and settling into our new home.  One night exhausted from the move and unpacking, my son and I dozed off on the sofa while watching Toy Story.  I was awakened to his crying.  He was staring behind me with a frightened look on his face.   He said that “that man” was scaring him.  I slowly turned around anticipating seeing a person but there was nothing.  For weeks following this incident, he would not enter a room without peering inside first looking for “that man”.  He would frequently ask me specific questions about “that man” like “why can I not see his eyes, or why does he wear funny clothes and a funny hat”.  One night we were lying in his bed propped up on pillows reading a super-sized book with Bible stories.  I noticed he kept peeking around the edge of the book looking towards the door.  Then he suddenly asked “mom is that man standing over by the door God”.  I lowered the book and again saw no one.  Numerous times he would come to me crying saying “that man” scares me and sometimes he would say “that man” is my friend.  These occurrences continued for several months.  While sleeping one night, I awoke to crying in a different room.  I jumped out of bed thinking that my son may be sleeping walking, I went in the direction of the crying but again there was nothing.  When I returned to my bed, there he was sound asleep next to my husband.  When we first starting telling family and close friends about our experiences, they would laugh and says we were all imagining things.  Right before our daughter was born, all three of us were ill with a stomach bug.  My mother came to stay with us for a few days to help out.  She was unable to sleep one night and decided to do a little laundry.  She was in the laundry room and heard crying.  She followed the sounds of crying that were coming from behind the sofa.  When she rounded the sofa she intended to find my son, but again, there was nothing.  She ran into the bedroom we were all sleeping in and said you have to sell this house, it is haunted!  Many nights we were awaken to approaching footsteps, crying, and lights being turned on and off.  We did put our house on the market, and it eventually sold to a couple from out of town.  The couple had two small boys.  They started visiting the church that our extended family attends.  When one of our family members realized the house they had bought, he asked them if they liked the house or if they had experienced anything strange.  They replied by saying they loved the house and neighborhood but they woke up one night to find their youngest son in the kitchen with a knife cutting up an onion for his new friend “that man”.

back in January of this year we moved into a house my fiancé & I grew up loving and wishing and hoping to one day own or live in…well our dream was coming true! The house was built in 1902 and is a registered historical home. At the time I was very pregnant with our second son and already have a little girl too. Our 7 yr old daughter and 6 yr old son's rooms were upstairs and so were ours but yet I stayed downstairs and so did my fiancé due to the fact I was so pregnant and couldn't make it up and down the grand stairs that much. Well one morning my daughter came down stairs and said momma can I ask you something? I said sure what's wrong she said what are them things on the wall by the floor? I said umm I'm not sure what your talking about show me I said. She walked me over to one of the MANY cold air intakes that are in every room of that house and said that…well I explained it to her and finished by asking why? And she told me she heard a woman yelling for bell in there a lot last night and that morning….I laughed it off assuming it was the whistling of the wind through it. Later that night as we laid on the couch watching TV with the kids there it was she said did u hear it? Listen momma she's calling for her again! To my amazement lord have mercy I heard it BELL….BELL….but it one did it 2-4 times and we never hear it again. A couple of wks went by and our son was giving us problems with getting up and getting ready for school saying he was tired…he shouldn't be due to bed time was 8sharp for both kiddos. I asked him why he was so tired and he told me jack always wants to play he comes in my room every night. I though oh no…plz not my kid plZ no imaginary friends….but my daughter spoke up before I could respond to him ….no momma jack is real and he always wants us to play at bed time. At that moment I figured ok let's talk about this jack ohh and did they ever fill me in. They told me jack lived in the attic with his grand paw and his grandpaw was mean, what he looked like what he wore and even that jack had something wrong with his arm and couldn't unbend it all the way. Honestly I laughed and thought wow my babies have a wild imagination! Several nights after that we could hear our son laughing and playing and talking to this jack character, now I'm getting frustrated, worried, and just impatient about this situation bit do nothing and hope time will heal all. About a WK after the bed time play dates finally stopped but around 10-11 one Sunday night my daughter comes running downstairs as calm as can be and says to me momma um…momma what baby I said she said momma there's a pink- purple ball in bubbas room floating by the wall….I was so scared but she seemed not to be I said OK stay down here with me she said no momma come look at it….I had to do it so upstairs we went! To my amazment and the good lord knows I about pee'd my self my son was standing under it looking up at it in awe I screamed get back! It was a softball size fuzzy almost like pinkish purple floating ball…I swiped my hand behind it in front it under it above it and it did nothing but kind of shimmer…it stayed there as is for about 2-3 mins then swole up and burst into tiny sparkling pieces and was gone once gone my son looked at me and said that was jack momma don't worry he's gone now……u know that is one of the scariest feelings in the world of motherhood..feeling hopeless on protecting your children from the unknown. Needless to say that was the last time the kids spoke of jack. But everything was so normal until about a wk before my second sons birth…my fiancé and I have feelings of some one watching or always being there and toward the last WK of my pregnancy in all the pictures we took there was faces in the background, next to us, and literally right over or on my pregnant bump. We finally moved out of fear once our second son was born because our other son would say a woman would get in his face and make him cry and I promise you we believed it with how our new addition acted at times. Love the beautiful old home but certainly don't miss it! We were the last people to live in that larger than life home and to this day its still for sale and we only lasted 5.5 months in our dream home due to unwanted live INS! Good luck to the next owners…their gonna need it!

I thought I would share this story with you! Hopefully, after reading this, you all will do more research on your neighbors before you move in!

I have always felt so interested in the supernatural. May be a little too interested. A few years ago, I bought my first townhome. The house is about 20 years old and the surrounding townhomes were in overall decent condition. The only problem I had was the noise. You could hear everything from the neighbors on both sides. It was the first time I was living on my own, so the noise actually made me feel safe. My neighbor to the right was a police officer that worked nights and I hadn’t met the neighbors to the left. It is not uncommon to only know a few of your neighbors, so I figured knowing one was good enough.

Well within the first couple days of moving in, everything seemed like smooth sailing except when I would crawl into bed and hear banging on the wall at around 10pm. Bang Bang! As if it was right over my head. I knew it couldn’t have been the cop because he was on the other side. So it had to be my mystery neighbors to the left. The next morning after 3 days of the same noise, I thought it was time to introduce myself, but no one was home. I peeked into the window and it looked like the house was being repaired or something.

I went to buy some ear plugs because I needed to get some sleep and that night I didn’t hear any bangs until midnight. I heard a huge crash against the wall from the mystery neighbors and screams. I literally jumped out of my skin. The man was screaming intensely and the woman was just crying. I could hear him wailing on her and as I went to the window and saw my cop neighbor was home, I heard the final bang and then silence. It was a gunshot.

I ran downstairs to Mr. Cop and knocked on his door in a panic. I told him what I heard and how I needed him to go into the mystery house right away. He looked at me wide eyed and for the life of me I couldn’t figure out why he wasn’t moving. He just stared and slowly said, “Well that was Ned and Diane.” He further explained that around a year ago, a couple moved in to that house. Ned so filled with jealousy, killed Diane and then hung himself.

The realtor never disclosed this as it wasn’t my house that had the murder-suicide. After I went home and further researched, I found that it was a year to the day that this horrible episode took place and that the description is exactly what I heard first hand. Needless to say, I moved and am renting out this home and on the anniversary, every year, the tenants call me saying that they have heard Ned and Diane.
