Mom Pep Talk
Detroit Lions running back Joique Bell’s touchdown yesterday helped the Lions score a big win over the Minnesota Vikings. He said it’s all thanks to his mama. Watch the video here where he says he talks and prays with his mother before every game. Heather said she does this all the time. She doesn’t have to tell them to be good sports or help others up off the ground because they know that already. However, she does try to get them pumped up like Bell’s mom. Are you a hardcore sports mom? What do you do to get your kids jacked up for the game? Maybe if you stay involved enough you can be “the real MVP.”

Halloween Baby Shower
Speaking of moms, Poolboy threw a baby shower this weekend. Heather called the soon-to-be father, Bitty, who the shower was thrown for and asked what we were all wondering: “Why would you let him do this?!” But Bitty said Pool did a great job and he and his wife were so impressed with the Halloween theme. There were machetes, glowing eyes in the bushes, severed hands and glitter (no placenta punch). Here’s a video of the haunted house they had to go through as they entered the party. Columbus Day?
Today is Columbus Day and Poolboy (ever the historian) had some fun facts about the holiday that not everyone may know about.
