Women Watchin’ Sports
According to a recent Men’s Health article, there is a certain way to talk to women about sports. The article claimed that women need “story lines” in sports and that they’re usually interested only if there’s some off-field drama or story to follow. This is obviously pretty sexist and raised quite a bit of controversy, enough that the article has been removed. Poolboy, always an advocate for equality, wanted to know what you feel about this. Most women said the way to talk to them about sports… is like a human being. Others said they are more into sports statistics than their husbands are (Heather admitted she definitely isn’t). While some did say they aren’t interested in sports at all, none said they needed some sort of soap opera-type drama to keep them interested. Ladies-do you watch no matter what? Or do you need to know more personal stuff about the athletes to keep you interested?

Ashy
A man on the way to Puerto Rico to scatter his mother’s ashes got an unpleasant surprise when his plane landed. The TSA agents had opened the urn containing the ashes (which they are not allowed to do) and didn’t place the lid on top properly. The man opened his bag to see all the ashes poured out in his bag, all over his clothes. This got H&Pb thinking about how you could/should go about scattering a loved one’s ashes. Neither of them have done it, but they did find these things you should know about scattering ashes.
We were informed that dumping ashes is illegal on most beaches but can be done a certain distance into the water. We also got a ton of texts and calls about this, with many saying they’ve dumped loved ones’ ashes on Petit Jean and Pinnacle Mountains and at various lakes in the state. One person said her family used their father’s ashes in the ink of a commemorative tattoo for him! Have you scattered a loved one’s ashes anywhere? What tips do you have for doing it? I don’t know much about cremation, but I know you don’t want this to happen…

When Kids Text
Over the weekend, Heather and her husband had to apologize for a joking text her son sent to a young lady that said, “she was hotter than the sun.” Apparently this is pretty tame compared to what other kids are texting nowadays. We asked if you check your child’s phone, and most parents said yes. Many said they found dirty texts, some as early as age 11! Wwwuuuutttt?! Others said they even found dirty photos already and immediately banned their kids from phones and social media. What’s the worst thing you’ve found on your kid’s phone? How did you handle it?
