(NEW YORK) -- Dina Lohan was arrested Thursday in New York and charged with a DWI, after a breath test revealed her blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit, ABC News has confirmed.
New York State Police observed her at around 11 p.m. driving at "a speed of 77 mph in a 55 mph zone," according to a police press release.
The 50-year-old mother of actress Lindsay Lohan was pulled over in her white BMW and blew a .20, more than twice the legal limit of .08 percent alcohol concentration.
After being taken to Farmingdale, on Long Island, for processing, Lohan told police she was injured during the arrest and was evaluated by medics.
"When emergency personnel arrived and evaluated Lohan, there were no injuries and she recanted her claim," the release continued.
Lohan was issued traffic tickets for the two DWI offenses and speeding. She "was later released to a sober third party" and will appear in court on September 24, police said, to face her charges.
